The Norwegian krone (symbol: kr, code: NOK, number 578) is the national currency of Norway, valid in the country since 1874 to have replaced the Norwegian daler. The Comorian franc was put in circulation in 1975 after the state had gained independence. The predecessor of the currency is the African franc. The rate of the national currency of Comoros is tied to fluctuations of euro (€). The currency does not float on its own.
