Norwegian Krone to South African Rand

The Norwegian krone (symbol: kr, code: NOK, number 578) is the national currency of Norway, valid in the country since 1874 to have replaced the Norwegian daler. Although nominally the krone is subdivided into 100 ore, coins denominations of less than 1 crone have been discontinued, and ore has existed only electronically since 2012. In 2004, rand has been incorporated into the CLS system as one of the international clearing currencies. The name is derived from the abbreviation of the name of the Mountain range Witwatersrand. The word "rand" came into use from the Afrikaans language, but has been modified to be pronounced in an English manner.
