Comorian Franc to Norwegian Krone

The Comorian franc (sign FC, code KMF) is the national currency of the Union of the Comoros located in Africa. Centimes are used as change for the Comorian franc. Every KMF has 100 centimes.

The Comorian franc was put in circulation in 1975 after the state had gained independence. The predecessor of the currency is the African franc. The rate of the national currency of Comoros is tied to fluctuations of euro (€). The currency does not float on its own.

The Norwegian krone (symbol: kr, code: NOK, number 578) is the national currency of Norway, valid in the country since 1874 to have replaced the Norwegian daler. Although nominally the krone is subdivided into 100 ore, coins denominations of less than 1 crone have been discontinued, and ore has existed only electronically since 2012. The banknotes design bears traditional Scandinavian decorations depicting ships, lighthouses, sea waves, cod.

The exchange rate varies depending on oil prices and other economic factors. The average inflation index is low,e.g. in autumn 2019 it was only 1.8%. During 2017 - 2019, all old banknotes were replaced in the country. They can be exchanged in banks until 2028.
