Norwegian Krone to Qatari Rial

The Norwegian krone (symbol: kr, code: NOK, number 578) is the national currency of Norway, valid in the country since 1874 to have replaced the Norwegian daler. Although nominally the krone is subdivided into 100 ore, coins denominations of less than 1 crone have been discontinued, and ore has existed only electronically since 2012. The Qatari riyal (sign QR, code QAR) is the official currency issued and accepted within the emirate-state of Qatar. The Qatari riyal is subdivided into dirhams. Every QAR has 100 dirhams.

The currency appeared in 1973 replacing the previous currency – the Qatar and Dubai riyal. This necessity to issue its own value was due to the fact that Dubai joined the United Arab Emirates. In 2017, the currency suffered from a large-scale inflation. However, the rate has stabilized itself.
