Norwegian Krone to Papua New Guinean Kina

The Norwegian krone (symbol: kr, code: NOK, number 578) is the national currency of Norway, valid in the country since 1874 to have replaced the Norwegian daler. Although nominally the krone is subdivided into 100 ore, coins denominations of less than 1 crone have been discontinued, and ore has existed only electronically since 2012. The currency has become official in 1975. Before that, the country had a foreign currency, which was the Australian dollar. The appearance of the currency was connected to the fact that Papua New Guinea gained independence. At first, the Australian dollar also participated in payment operations, but in 1976, it was completely eliminated.
