Norwegian Krone to Chilean Peso

The Norwegian krone (symbol: kr, code: NOK, number 578) is the national currency of Norway, valid in the country since 1874 to have replaced the Norwegian daler. In 2008, the state mint has issued 50 commemorative coins with a misspelling of the country’s name. Some of these coins were sold at auction. Having a face value of 50 peso, their price could go up to 20 thousand peso. This nuisance led to the fact that the head of the mint was fired.
