Swiss Franc to Ghanaian Cedi

The Swiss franc (international symbol: CHF, code: 756) is the official currency in Switzerland, Liechtenstein, the Italian commune of Campione de Italy. Nowadays it is the only currency in Europe to have retained the name" franc ". It is subdivided into 100 coins, which are called in different languages: rappen (germ.

), centime (French), centesimo (it.) and rap (retro-Romanesque). Traditionally, the Swiss currency remains one of the most stable in the world pertaining low inflation rate over decades.

The Ghanaian cedi (sign GH₵, code GHS) is the currency used in circulation in Ghana. The currency is not used outside the country. The Ghanaian cedi uses pesewa as change.

One cedi equals 100 pesewas. In 1965, the cedi became the sole currency in the country. Before that, Ghana had changed its currency several times. Since the country was a British colony, its territory allowed pounds sterling and later on, it was replaced with the West African pound. Afterwards, the Ghanaian pound took its place. All notes, except 50 cedi, depict portraits of the state’s politicians. The 50-cedi banknote portrays the cocoa fruit.
