Costa Rican Colon to Norwegian Krone

The Costa Rican colón (sign ₡, code CRC) is the national currency of the state located in Central America – Costa Rica. Centimos are used as coins. One Costa Rican colón has 100 centimos.

The national currency has been issued in 1897. It has replaced the previous currency – the Costa Rican peso. The notes are unique in their diverse styles. On the notes, you can see a portrait of Christopher Columbus, a painting of Mercury – the god of commerce, scenes from economic and industrial life of the country.

The Norwegian krone (symbol: kr, code: NOK, number 578) is the national currency of Norway, valid in the country since 1874 to have replaced the Norwegian daler. Although nominally the krone is subdivided into 100 ore, coins denominations of less than 1 crone have been discontinued, and ore has existed only electronically since 2012. The exchange rate varies depending on oil prices and other economic factors. The average inflation index is low,e.g. in autumn 2019 it was only 1.8%. During 2017 - 2019, all old banknotes were replaced in the country. They can be exchanged in banks until 2028.
