Canadian Dollar to Egyptian Pound

The Canadian dollar (symbol: CA$, code: CAD, number 124) is Canada's monetary unit since 1858. It is subdivided into 100 cents. The Canadian currency is among the most traded on the world currency market.

The CAD exchange rate largely depends on the state of the economy of the neighboring United States and the changing position of the US dollar. The Egyptian pound (sign LE, code EGP) is the currency of Egypt. It can also be referred to as the livre or guinea as in outdated terms. The Egyptian pound can be subdivided into 100 small coins named piastres.

The currency has been introduced into circulation in 1885. The design of notes and coins was reconsidered several times, the currency’s level of protection has increased. Almost every banknote of the Egyptian pound features key mosques of the country. It serves as a reminder that Egypt is a Muslim state.
