Canadian Dollar to Bahraini dinar

The Canadian dollar (symbol: CA$, code: CAD, number 124) is Canada's monetary unit since 1858. It is subdivided into 100 cents. The Canadian currency is among the most traded on the world currency market.

The CAD exchange rate largely depends on the state of the economy of the neighboring United States and the changing position of the US dollar. The Bahraini dinar (sign BD, code BHD) is the currency of Bahrain, used in Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates for 8 years from 1966. Today, it is only used in circulation within Bahrain itself. Dinar’s coin is called fils.

One BHD equals 1000 fils. The currency has first been issued in 1966. Before that, Bahrain used the Gulf rupee for payment. The national central bank has undertaken the currency issuance since 2006. The rate of the national currency is connected to the American dollar.
