Afghan afghani to Serbian Dinar

Afghani (sign ؋, code AFN) is the currency of Afghanistan which is not used for payment in other countries. One afghani equals 100 pul coins. Afghani has been issued since 1926.

Originally, coins made only out of silver were used on the territory of the Islamic state. First notes were printed in 1935. The Afghan rupee had been used hand in hand with afghani until 1978. Up until 2002, there had been different types of afghani used in the country and issued by different military and political organizations: “davlati” and “dostumi”, but the new leader, Hamid Karzai, reformed the currency leaving only one type. Banknotes had architectural monuments, key industries and infrastructure depicted on them.

The Serbian dinar (sign din, code RSD) is the currency circulating in Serbia. The currency is not accepted in other countries. The Serbian dinar uses para as change.

One RSD is 100 paras. The currency was issued in 1868. As time went on, it has been eliminated and introduced many times. Last time, when the dinar became official again, was in 2003. For some time, the main currency was the Yugoslav dinar. It was the main currency in the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenians.
