Afghan afghani to Philippine Peso

Afghani (sign ؋, code AFN) is the currency of Afghanistan which is not used for payment in other countries. One afghani equals 100 pul coins. Afghani has been issued since 1926.

Originally, coins made only out of silver were used on the territory of the Islamic state. First notes were printed in 1935. The Afghan rupee had been used hand in hand with afghani until 1978. Up until 2002, there had been different types of afghani used in the country and issued by different military and political organizations: “davlati” and “dostumi”, but the new leader, Hamid Karzai, reformed the currency leaving only one type. Banknotes had architectural monuments, key industries and infrastructure depicted on them.

The Philippine peso (international symbol: ₱, code: PHP, number: 608) is the currency of the Philippines that has existed since 1858. One peso is subdivided into 100 sentimos. Contemporary banknotes were developed back in 1969.

Since 1970, the peso exchange rate has been floating, regulated by the Central Bank of the Philippines. The entire money supply is located and used as a legal tender only within the state. The country has an official ban on the export of the national currency. Beginning with the year of 2013 the exchange rate of the Philippine currency against the US dollar has decreased significantly.
