Afghan afghani to Omani Rial

Afghani (sign ؋, code AFN) is the currency of Afghanistan which is not used for payment in other countries. One afghani equals 100 pul coins. Afghani has been issued since 1926.

Originally, coins made only out of silver were used on the territory of the Islamic state. First notes were printed in 1935. The Afghan rupee had been used hand in hand with afghani until 1978. Up until 2002, there had been different types of afghani used in the country and issued by different military and political organizations: “davlati” and “dostumi”, but the new leader, Hamid Karzai, reformed the currency leaving only one type. Banknotes had architectural monuments, key industries and infrastructure depicted on them.

The Omani rial (sign ر.ع., code OMR) is a currency used on the territory of the Sultanate of Oman.

The currency can be subdivided into baisa. Every OMR has 100 baisa. The currency has been issued since 1974. It replaced the outdated rial Saidi. The Omani rial is unique in its bright design, representing the identity of the country. The averse has leaders of the sultanate of different periods. The obverse has key objects of infrastructure, natural and architectural monuments.
