Afghan afghani to Czech Koruna

Afghani (sign ؋, code AFN) is the currency of Afghanistan which is not used for payment in other countries. One afghani equals 100 pul coins. Afghani has been issued since 1926.

Originally, coins made only out of silver were used on the territory of the Islamic state. First notes were printed in 1935. The Afghan rupee had been used hand in hand with afghani until 1978. Up until 2002, there had been different types of afghani used in the country and issued by different military and political organizations: “davlati” and “dostumi”, but the new leader, Hamid Karzai, reformed the currency leaving only one type. Banknotes had architectural monuments, key industries and infrastructure depicted on them.

The Czech koruna (international symbol : Kč, code: CZK, number 203) is the official currency of the Czech Republic. The Czech koruna has replaced the Czechoslovak analog, and has been in circulation since1993. It is divided into hellers (discontinued).

The design of the banknotes belongs to the artist-designer Aldřich Kulganek. The banknotes bear portraits of writers, philosophers, politicians, Gothic cathedrals and national Czech ornaments and patterns. Coins have a variety of designs and shapes - round, polygonal.
