Israeli Shekel to Ghanaian Cedi

The Israeli New Shekel, also known as simply the Israeli Shekel (symbol: ₪ codes: ILS and 376) is the currency of Israel. It was introduced in 1985, replacing the old shekel that had existed since the formation of the country. It is I circulation throughout the State of Israel and the Palestinian National Authority.

One shekel equals 100 agos. The modern Israeli currency is freely convertible, listed as CLS. The symbol, which depicts currency, is built of the two Hebrew letters - “shin” and “het”, and reads "shah.".

The Ghanaian cedi (sign GH₵, code GHS) is the currency used in circulation in Ghana. The currency is not used outside the country. The Ghanaian cedi uses pesewa as change.

One cedi equals 100 pesewas. In 1965, the cedi became the sole currency in the country. Before that, Ghana had changed its currency several times. Since the country was a British colony, its territory allowed pounds sterling and later on, it was replaced with the West African pound. Afterwards, the Ghanaian pound took its place. All notes, except 50 cedi, depict portraits of the state’s politicians. The 50-cedi banknote portrays the cocoa fruit.
