Ghanaian Cedi to Taiwan New Dollar

The Ghanaian cedi (sign GH₵, code GHS) is the currency used in circulation in Ghana. The currency is not used outside the country. The Ghanaian cedi uses pesewa as change.

One cedi equals 100 pesewas. In 1965, the cedi became the sole currency in the country. Before that, Ghana had changed its currency several times. Since the country was a British colony, its territory allowed pounds sterling and later on, it was replaced with the West African pound. Afterwards, the Ghanaian pound took its place. All notes, except 50 cedi, depict portraits of the state’s politicians. The 50-cedi banknote portrays the cocoa fruit.

The new Taiwanese dollar (sign NT$, code TWD) is the national currency of Taiwan, issued by the bank of this Asian state. The currency is called yuan or kuai within the country. It is not used outside Taiwan.

One new Taiwanese dollar can be exchanged for 100 dimes. The new Taiwanese dollar took the place of the old one. The name is only used in the full form when it comes to legal documents and bank operations. It is necessary in order to avoid confusion.
