Ghanaian Cedi to Burmese Kyat

The Ghanaian cedi (sign GH₵, code GHS) is the currency used in circulation in Ghana. The currency is not used outside the country. The Ghanaian cedi uses pesewa as change.

One cedi equals 100 pesewas. In 1965, the cedi became the sole currency in the country. Before that, Ghana had changed its currency several times. Since the country was a British colony, its territory allowed pounds sterling and later on, it was replaced with the West African pound. Afterwards, the Ghanaian pound took its place. All notes, except 50 cedi, depict portraits of the state’s politicians. The 50-cedi banknote portrays the cocoa fruit.

The Burmese kyat (sign К, code MMK) is the national currency of Myanmar. The country was previously known as Burma. The currency is not used in other states.

Pya is used as change for the Burmese kyat. Every MMK has 100 pya. The currency was officially introduced in circulation in 1952. Before that, the Burmese rupee had been used in payment operations. At some point, fluctuations of the American dollar ($) defined the rate of the currency of Myanmar. Now, the currency can float itself.
