Falkland Island Pound to Norwegian Krone

The Falkland Islands pound (sign FK£, code FKP) is the national currency of a sovereign territory of Great Britain. It is used along with the pound sterling. Originally, FKP was subdivided into 20 shillings, and later into 100 pence.

Today, every FKP can be subdivided into 100 pence. Coins are also called pennies as a term of endearment. The currency appeared in 1899. Although nominally the krone is subdivided into 100 ore, coins denominations of less than 1 crone have been discontinued, and ore has existed only electronically since 2012. The exchange rate varies depending on oil prices and other economic factors. The average inflation index is low,e.g. in autumn 2019 it was only 1.8%. During 2017 - 2019, all old banknotes were replaced in the country. They can be exchanged in banks until 2028.
