Danish Krone to Chilean Peso

The Danish krone (international symbol: kr, code: DKK ,number: 208) is the official currency of Denmark effective since 1873.The crone is subdivided into 100 era coins. The banknotes issued since 1945 are still in circulation.

The Danish currency is pegged to the euro at a fixed exchange rate of 7.4 krones for 1 euro, which is supposed to be preserved until the country joins the Eurozone. The Danish currency is used for cash payments and non-cash transfers in Greenland. It is also in circulation on the Faroe Islands, at the exchange rate for local crowns of 1: 1.

The Chilean peso (sign $, code CLP) is the national currency issued and spread only in Chile. The Chilean peso can be changed into coins named centavo. Every CLP has 100 centavos.

The currency had appeared in circulation in 1817, but was later replaced with escudo. However, the Chilean peso has been issued again. Today, both currencies are used at the same time. In 2008, the state mint has issued 50 commemorative coins with a misspelling of the country’s name. Some of these coins were sold at auction. Having a face value of 50 peso, their price could go up to 20 thousand peso. This nuisance led to the fact that the head of the mint was fired.
