East Caribbean Dollar to Namibian Dollar

The Eastern Caribbean dollar (sign $, code XCD) is a currency circulating on the territory of 7 countries that are part of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States. The currency is accepted in Antigua and Barbuda, Saint Lucia, and the Grenadines. The Eastern Caribbean dollar can be exchanged to cents.

One XCD equals 100 cents. The currency was introduced in 1965, taking the place of the outdated West Indies dollar. The Eastern Caribbean dollar has changed its look quite a lot. There were monarchs, outstanding politicians, cultural and art figures. In 2019, there were presented new notes made out of a polymer base. They were made in a vertical format.

The Namibian dollar (sign N$, code NAD) is the national currency of Namibia, a South African republic. The currency is not accepted in other countries. Cents are small coins used as change for the Namibian dollar.

Every NAD has 100 cents. The currency has been issued since 1993. Its predecessor was the South African rand. A premise of creating its own currency was the fact that Namibia gained independence and organized its own national bank. These events date back to 1990.
