Syrian Pound to Norwegian Krone

The Syrian pound (sign £S, code SYP) circulates on the territory of Syria. It is also known as the Syrian lira. Small coins – piastres – are used as change.

One SYP equals 100 piastres. They are also known as qirsh. Technically, the coins exist, but are not used in circulation. The currency was issued in 1998, after the end of the civil war between Bosnia and Herzegovina. The rate of the national currency of this European country is tied to euro.
