Swedish Krona to Armenian dram

The Swedish Krona (symbol: kr, code: SEK, number 752) is the national currency introduced in 1873 as the currency of the Scandinavian Monetary Union. It has later on become the internal currency for Sweden. Although Sweden is a member of the EU, the payments are supposed to be done officially is in kronas.

So far, joining the Eurozone with further transition to the single currency system is not being considered. One krona is subdivided into 100 ore coins. Ore has been discontinued, remaining only part of the formal mathematical financial accounting.

The Armenian dram (sign ֏, code AMD) is the national currency of the Republic of Armenia, used within the borders of this Caucasian country. 1 dram could be previously subdivided into 100 lum. However, there are no coins or notes worth less than 10 dram used right now.

The currency has been issued in 1993 after the dissolution of the Soviet Union. Before that, the Soviet rubles had been in use. The country’s symbol on the notes was presented as iconic figures from the Armenian people, and as great architectural and art monuments as well. There is the national coat of arms and denomination decorated with a colorful design. The monetary unit’s name comes from the Greek drachma.
