Nigerian Naira to Afghan afghani

The Nigerian naira (sign ₦, code NGN) is the national currency of Nigeria, a state located in Africa. The currency does not circulate in other countries. The Nigerian naira can be subdivided into kobo.

Every NGN has 100 kobo. The currency has first been issued in 1973, replacing the Nigerian pound. In 2014, the Treasury of Nigeria issued a series of commemorative banknotes worth 100 naira. The notes have a new design, an additional level of protection, and a code that refers you to a site with the history of the country.

Afghani (sign ؋, code AFN) is the currency of Afghanistan which is not used for payment in other countries. One afghani equals 100 pul coins. Afghani has been issued since 1926.

Originally, coins made only out of silver were used on the territory of the Islamic state. First notes were printed in 1935. The Afghan rupee had been used hand in hand with afghani until 1978. Up until 2002, there had been different types of afghani used in the country and issued by different military and political organizations: “davlati” and “dostumi”, but the new leader, Hamid Karzai, reformed the currency leaving only one type. Banknotes had architectural monuments, key industries and infrastructure depicted on them.
