Icelandic Króna to East Caribbean Dollar

The Icelandic krona (symbol: kr, codes: ISK, and 352) is the national currency of Iceland. Since the country is not a member of the EU and the Eurozone, the krona is the only official currency in the state. One krona is subdivided into 100 aurar, but coins less than 1 krona have been discontinued.

The Icelandic krone banknotes have been printed since 1885, remaining one of the few European currencies to have been preserved virtually unchanged since the 19th century. In 1981, a denomination took place in Iceland. Citizens received the new krone at the rate of 100: 1.

The Eastern Caribbean dollar (sign $, code XCD) is a currency circulating on the territory of 7 countries that are part of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States. The currency is accepted in Antigua and Barbuda, Saint Lucia, and the Grenadines. The Eastern Caribbean dollar can be exchanged to cents.

One XCD equals 100 cents. The currency was introduced in 1965, taking the place of the outdated West Indies dollar. The Eastern Caribbean dollar has changed its look quite a lot. There were monarchs, outstanding politicians, cultural and art figures. In 2019, there were presented new notes made out of a polymer base. They were made in a vertical format.
