Dominican Peso to Indonesian Rupiah

The Dominican peso (sign RD$, code DOP) is the currency spread and issued only in the Dominican Republic. It is also known as the “golden peso”. Change for the Dominican peso is centavo.

Ever DOP has 100 centavos. The coins are also known as the “golden centavos”. The currency has been issued since 1947. However, the first attempt to establish the currency dates back to 1844 and is connected to the country gaining independence from Haiti. However, the modern version of the currency, the so-called new rupiah is being issued since the redenomination in 1965. The exchange was made at the rate of 1000 old rupees per new one. The rupiah formally is divided into 100 sens, but physically coins denominated less than 1 Rp are discontinued.
