Bolivian boliviano to Costa Rican Colon

The boliviano (sign Bs, code BOB) is the national currency of the country located is South America – Bolivia. Small coins called centavo are used as change for the Bolivian boliviano. One boliviano has 100 centavos.

The currency has first been issued in the 18th century, and was used between 1864 and 1963. Later, the country used peso, but due to inflation in 1987, the government came back to BOB once again. The rate of the modern boliviano is connected to the American dollar. After the 80s hyperinflation, the population was still using the old notes as change. There have been special seals put on them to reduce denomination.

The Costa Rican colón (sign ₡, code CRC) is the national currency of the state located in Central America – Costa Rica. Centimos are used as coins. One Costa Rican colón has 100 centimos.

The national currency has been issued in 1897. It has replaced the previous currency – the Costa Rican peso. The notes are unique in their diverse styles. On the notes, you can see a portrait of Christopher Columbus, a painting of Mercury – the god of commerce, scenes from economic and industrial life of the country.
