Argentine Peso to Norwegian Krone

The Argentine peso (sign $, code ARS) is the currency used for payment within Argentina. The coins are called centavo. One peso equals 100 centavo.

It has been in circulation since 1992 when the old currency – austral – had been removed. Banknotes are designed with portraits of outstanding statesmen. 10 peso has an image of General Manuel Belgrano, and the 100 peso note has one of the first ladies of Argentina, Eva Perón. The Norwegian krone (symbol: kr, code: NOK, number 578) is the national currency of Norway, valid in the country since 1874 to have replaced the Norwegian daler. Although nominally the krone is subdivided into 100 ore, coins denominations of less than 1 crone have been discontinued, and ore has existed only electronically since 2012. The banknotes design bears traditional Scandinavian decorations depicting ships, lighthouses, sea waves, cod.

The exchange rate varies depending on oil prices and other economic factors. The average inflation index is low,e.g. in autumn 2019 it was only 1.8%. During 2017 - 2019, all old banknotes were replaced in the country. They can be exchanged in banks until 2028.
